Every game has its myths. Blackjack isn't an exception. But, if you trust any of the following blackjack legends, you will definitely lose money. So, don't make that mistake!
Myth 1: The purpose of blackjack game is to obtain a number as close to 21 as possible
Keep in mind that this is NOT the aim of the game. The purpose is to beat the dealer's hand. Frequently, the best approach is to stand, depending on your hand and the dealer's up card. Lots of people lose a hand because they hit their hands, when, according to a fundamental strategy, they should stand.
Myth 2: Awful players influence you and make you lose
Wrong! Other gamblers have no effect on your winning or losing long term.
It is accurate that dim moves made by brainless players can have an effect on the outcome of a hand for everyone else, but it can be demonstrated accurately that it is just as probable that this could result in the entire table winning.
Myth 3: Constantly take assurance if you have a blackjack
Assurance is the most incorrect bet that you can do in blackjack. If a player were to take insurance whenever he has a blackjack, then he would be giving up to 13 % of the profit that a blackjack pays.
In order for a player just to get by with assurance, you would have to estimate properly 1 in 3 times, and there are not great chances for that to happen! Only if you are card counting should you consider taking assurance.
Myth 4: The dealer is HOT
Scientifically speaking, when you win, the deck composition is in your benefit, and when you lose, it is not in your benefit.
Nevertheless, the dealer has no alternative; they only follow the house regulations. You, as a player, do have alternatives, and it is your option that will establish how flourishing you will be.
Myth 5: Players that enter the game in the middle of a shoe can cause you to lose
This is in fact similar to a bettor taking an additional card, or a player leaving in the central point of the game. Neither of which causes you to lose.
Myth 6: You are likely to win soon
The dealer has won ten hands in a row. In consequence, you will win soon! The odds of the player winning the next hand are independent of what happen before. Of course that sooner or later, the number of hands you'll win will be around 48%, but this in time! In the short term, the earlier hands are irrelevant.
Myth 7: The deuce is the best card for the dealer
Not accurate. We select the deuce because it makes the dealers hand regularly, because there is only one card that can "beat" the hand. Scientifically, bettors lose more when the "up card" the dealer has, is an Ace or a 10.
Myth 8: Don't split 9, 9 against the dealer's 9, you're producing two awful hands
When the bettor has 9 & 9 next to the dealer's 9, the player has 18. This doesn't hit 19 as certainly we suppose that the dealer has a 10 in the hole. It is demonstrated mathematically that a player will lose a smaller amount of money by splitting the 9's than by standing.
