Craps : How to play good crapless craps

The benefit when playing craps is that you will feel the excitement of a win. The win will make you play even more and it will keep you entertained; for 2, 4, 6 hours that depends.

The main idea is that you play the game even if you know on the long run you won't win, but you play for those little moments of pleasure offered by a win.

At a crapless table, the fun will be only 25% of the one experienced at a regular craps table if you only use the pass line bets. The additional line bets have an even bigger house edge: between 6.25 percent and 10 percent it the bet is placed on 3 or 11, and between 7.14 percent and 14.29 percent if the bet is placed on the 2 or 12.

These odds would make any player choose the standard craps table. But there are other bets we haven't discussed yet:

The house edge of a pass or come bet with double odds is 0.61% in standard craps and 2.02% in crapless craps. A bet on the 6 or 8 would be reasonable because it would be under 1.5% house edge. Also a bet on 4 or 6 is reasonable because the house edge is just over 1%.

The crapless game has some extra bets like 2/12 or the 3/11, but they are high between 8.5 and 14 percent. Even the 4/10 bet has a high house edge: 6.7%.

Some casinos have made these bets more reasonable by allowing the player to buy-in for a deal: 3/11 for $25 and 2/12 for $25. In case of a win you would have to pay $1.

In this case the house edge would be reduced to 0.57%, almost as good as a regular craps game. Winning on a 2/12 bet would bring you $149, a pretty good sum. So you see crapless craps has some benefits, as long as you look for them and don't rush your betting.
