The subject of gambling and gamblers habits given provided by statistics have caught the general public's attention lately. Do they prefer online gambling or land based casino gambling, how often…and many other questions of this kind. But one subject that I find even more interesting and I think it should deserve its own gambling survey is the hobby, the gambling hobby and the emotions generated when gambling.
Now, there are some questions to be asked. When and where a player gambles, when he is feeling satisfied, after a profitable day or after a profitable week and so on. The emotions and the mental state with which gamblers move toward the hobby diverge a lot.
Now, don’t imagine I am referring to gambling addiction, because I’m not. I am talking about the general gambler. Balancing one gambler’s habits and reactions with another one may not help in this case, but the importance of understanding their thinking can not be overstated. I read in a paper that an analyst recommends entering the market only when the investor can afford losing the entire investment. Although this is not likely to happen, or at least, odds are at the very least slim that it would, it is a good opening suggestion for our topic.
The message for us gamblers: don’t enter the game with the last of your savings.
