1. Consider gambling as a fun activity

You should always gamble for fun and not for money because you can’t be too sure that you will win at all. Sure, you'll see some people holding checks in their hands with big numbers, but the truth is often quite different.

For every big winner, there are many losers, who lose even more money. The gambling addicts tend to believe that someday they will be big winners. You should never believe that; you should play for fun and maybe you will make some money in the process.


2. Never gamble with money that you can't afford to lose

Always gamble with money that you have kept for entertainment, and never with money that you use to pay the rent, insurance, and any other things. This is extremely important, never forget it.


3. Always set a money limit

Before you go and play, set a money limit and if you exceed that limit, stop playing. Do everything you can to make sure that you don’t spend more than that amount.

This is almost as important as setting a money limit. Gamble in you free time, not when you should go to school or work.


5. Don’t chase your losses

If you lose some money, don’t play to get the back because most of the time you won’t, you might even lose more.


6. Never gamble when you are depressed or angry

You can often make the wrong decisions when you are gambling, and if you are depressed or angry you can make even more wrong decisions.


7. Combine gambling with other activities

Don’t center your life on gambling, do some other activities too: spend some time with you friends, go on trips, and so on. Gambling will be more enjoyable this way.
