Others : How to survive a losing streak

It is very difficult for a player to overcome a losing streak; in fact it is one of the most difficult things to do. The player knows only that the streak will end, but he doesn’t know when it will end.

During the losing streak the player doesn't lose only money but also confidence, and because of this it is very difficult to handle a losing streak. If you gamble just for fun once in a while, you could stop playing for an amount of time.

However there are players that can’t stop playing, and in that case they should reduce the amount of their bets. Many players want to recover their money by increasing the wager but this is the wrong way, because most of the times they lose that money too.

You could also try playing fewer days a month, or even changing the game. Whatever you do, make some modifications: change the game, cut back the amount of time you play, cut back the wagers, and so on.

You will realize when the losing streak has ended because suddenly you will get the desired card at poker, or the dealer will bust at blackjack, etc. A losing streak is inevitable, each player experiments it and is important to know how to react to it. It will seem an insignificant thing if you know how to react to it.
