In order to get promoted, and to make themselves known to the public, Online casinos have been puling one publicity stunt after the other. These stunts range from buying Britney Spears alleged home pregnancy kit to paying people for tattooing an online casino logo on their flesh.
Recently, an online casino wants to capitalize on the publicity or notoriety of Reality TV stars, as a publicity tool. Stacie J., an owner of a Subway sandwich shop branch in Harlem, NY which previously was a contestant on NBC’s smash hit “The Apprentice”, was signed up to increase the attention on the online casino called Casino Fortune, with the help of her image. She was also a model and an MBA graduate, when Stacie J., was fired by Donald Trump on the third episode of the second season of his hit show. Because through each episode, Trump fires one the contestants.
Stacie J. was declared as being unpredictable by the other contestants and even by Trump himself. Immediately after being fired, she was hired by the Trinidad-based online casino, as a spokeswoman and an advisor. Because of the short time between the moment she was fired, and the moment she was hired, we can suggest that this could have been yet another promotional stunt.
Immediately after hiring her, Casino Fortune announced its intent to invest $400 million in Trump Hotels Casino Resorts. The online casino ended up rescinding its offer, and thus eliminating Stacie’s odds of ever working for Trump. The online casino declared that the investment did not take place because nothing got done in the talks with Trump’s executive which reached a dead-end. On the other hand, if they were in fact serious about investing the money, then why did they go and hire her in the first place?
