Starting March 31st, real cash games will be suspended at PlanetPoker.com. PlanetPoker is the first online real-money card room that has had to suspend their cash games because of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.
The act has caused payment processing issues and now the site is obliged to close its business. The statesman said that each customer will receive his/her money back without any problems.
The site will send e-mail notifications to every customer who has money on their online accounts, where they will receive information on how to withdraw their money.
If one wants to continue playing online for real money he has the option of transferring his online account money to an online card room affiliated with PlanetPoker. PlanetPoker recommends Bodog Poker on their website, but in the e-mail they do not mention any sites.
The statesman also said that it is advisable to transfer their money, because otherwise they could confront with cash-out delays and other inconveniences.
For the moment PlanetPoker only allows play money action, but if the U.S government will legalize online gambling, the situation will change.
PlanetPoker along with sports-gambling.com and pokerblue.com brands are part of the United Poker Network.
