A Craps System
For the ‘Bet large and win small’ craps system, as you already figured out you need a substantial bankroll to have a small win, but you also need an incredible discipline to walk away when you got that small win.
Ill start my example with a $2,000 bankroll. In this system we will use bets only on the Horn Bet numbers, even they are not considered winning bets because of their house edge of over 12%. You will bet $5 on the pass line and one $1 on the 2, 3, 11, or 12 and you need to play it consistently no matter it is a ‘craps’ or ‘yo’. If you lose go for $2, if you lose again press $4, then press $8 in case of another lose, then press $16. From the last $16 bet, every time you will lose bet the previous amount plus another $1 ($16 + $1; $17 + $1; and so on…)
Lets assume you choose the horn bet number 11 and after 15 rolls the number was not thrown. In this case you should leave the game and this is a possible situation.
Now, lets assume that on the roll number 10 the YO at last hits. On the tenth roll you should have a total of $126 in the game and you win $315, so you will have a $189 profit. This is the moment when you get use of the discipline I was talking about. You should walk away as you already gained more than you invested at the table until now.
If the YO hits on the 13 roll you should have a total of $391 (your current bet is at $31) in the game and you win $465, so you will have a $74 profit. From this you can observe that using this system your profit will become smaller as you continue playing without any win. Hence, here is the reason for leaving the game after you win, or you may bet a “full press again and then continue on with the $1.00 increase with each hand.
