Playing Baccarat in a land based casino might be pretty difficult: first of all you need to have a lot of money because the game is played only by the wealthy people, and second you need to have the proper dress code. You can’t play baccarat if you are not dress gallantly.
If you don’t like the mentioned requirements then you can play baccarat online. You can choose from a large variety of games and the best part is that it won’t cost you that much.
Of course there are high limit tables, but it's your choice if you want to play them or not. Also, the dress code won’t be a problem when you play the game online.
These are the baccarat rules:
The value of the cards:
- The cards from 2 to 9 have their face value.
- The face cards (Jacks, Queens, and Kings) and 10s have a 0 value.
The objective of the game is to come as close to 9 as possible but without exceeding this sum. The winner is the player who has the hand closest to 9. There are three bets available: on the banker, on the player, and on a tie. Once you have placed the bet, you will be dealt two cards.
The dealer also receives two cards. If you have 9 points from the first two cards you will automatically win. If you have a 7 and a 4 for example you will have 1 point instead of 11, which means you won't bust.
You may draw additional cards after the first two cards have been dealt, in order to get as closer to 9 as possible. The player bet pays even money. You must pay a certain percentage to the casino for every win on the banker bet, because this type of bet wins more often.
These are the rules and as you can see they are not too difficult to learn. Don’t forget to have a lot of time while you play the game whether you are playing online or in a land based casino.
There are other variations of the game, but if you know the main rules you won't have any trouble playing those games. We will talk about those variations in another article.
