Table Games : Grudzien The Winner of The Extreme Poker Challenge

Loser's Leap, the poker challenge held by InterPoker.com at its third series of exotic poker tournament was held on a plane 10,000 feet above the Jean Airport 20 miles south of Las Vegas. The game play emerged quite spectacular, as when players busted out, they took a tandem jump out of the plane, hurtling themselves back towards Earth.

The other two Extreme Poker Challenges held in the past by InterPoker.com took place underwater in the Caribbean and on a frozen lake in Finland.

In the challenge, four qualifiers from the online poker room played against professional poker players in the circuit, like Phil "The Unabomber" Laak.

The winner of the Loser's Leap Challenge, Nick Grudzien, won a $6,300 entry into the Caribbean Poker Classic in St. Kitts in late November. Grudzien is a 29-year old semi-professional poker player from New York City.

Playing in an aggressive manner in the sit-and-go tournament he managed to build an early chip lead. Laak was knocked in the 4th place, so Look had to make his jump with the "InterPoker.com" parachute.

Phil "The Unabomber" Laak commented: "Nick is sick", who estimates he has been skydiving 12-15 times before. "But how can you lose in this thing? If you lose the tournament, you get to jump out of a plane?"

Laak arrived at the competition in a form-fitting purple jump suit for the flight. When asked if it was his own, Laak replied: "If this was mine, maybe my package wouldn't be so prominently displayed."

Antonio Esfandiari and Scott Fischman were originally scheduled to participate in the event, but Esfandiari was a last-minute scratch as he came down with a cold and did not make it to Jean Airport.

Fischman, who endorses InterPoker.com, was present at the event, but did not participate because of a wrist injury.
