How much are you willing to gamble go on a single bet? When faced with the expression “double or nothing” do you take some time to think that “nothing” actually means “absolutely nothing”? Ashley Revell does. He gambled the farm on a single game of roulette.

Revell is from Britain and he decided to sell everything in his possession even the shirt on his back. After which, he bought a plane ticket to Las Vegas took his family to the Plaza Hotel where he ended up gambling every dime he had on a single roulette wheel. The amount that he gambled was a sum of $135,300. He went to Vegas, converted his money into chips and began gambling.

He began gambling with some low stakes bets in order to warm up a bit before the big spin. After the so called warm up, Revell went towards the roulette table and placed everything in his possession on “Red”. His risk was well worth it. He spun the wheel, and in the meantime a huge crowd had gathered around him consisting of friends and family members from London that went wild, as the ball bounced around with wheel begging to slow down and landed on Red “7” Revell won a total of $270,600.

“Everything happened very fast, it was spinning before I knew it” Revell commented. When he was asked if he intend to try to double it again, he simply answered “no thanks”. The Croupier received a bulky of $600. That very evening was full of celebration and exhilaration.

Revell declared that he intended to acquire some new clothes as all his old ones were sold. “It’s really down to my friends and family and Mum and Dad” he told Reuters Television. “I was aware of the fact that even if I lost I’d always have a home to go to. “I’m still against it,” declared his Dad.

“He shouldn’t have done it. He’s a naughty boy. I always tell my kids they shouldn’t gamble. I’ve got four others and they’re all going to want to go the same way. “It’s just brilliant,” said his friend Ashley Hames, visiting Las Vegas from London for the special occasion.
