Gambling Guru Hired for Taiwan Project

Three Scottish businessmen hired the previous chief executive of the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas to run their $350m Taiwan casino resort.

The casino resort is named Amazing Holdings and is owned by accountant and previous Noble Grossart venture banker David Mathewson. Mr. Mathewson also plans the opening of a 27-acre beachfront plot in the Penghu islands

Larry Woolf, will run and operate Amazing Holdings, which is quoted on Aim, under the terms of the deal Navegante Group.

The resort will embrace a top-of-the-range hotel and entertainment complex. The betting complex is expected to catch the attention of high-rolling gambling tourists from Taiwan and mainland China and also attract punters from Asia's current casino Mecca, Macau
