Holden is back on the Poker circuit with a Bigger Deal

By Daniel Michaels, May 22nd 2007
Anthony Holden, the author of the best selling poker book in the 90's, Big Deal, has written a new book called Bigger Deal, in which he writes about poker's current situation. Anthony has returned to the poker tables for a year, from the 2005 WSOP to the 2006 one, to observe the changes which have occurred in the poker world.

Many things have changed since he wrote his bestseller: more than 8,000 people now compete in the WSOP whereas in 1988 only 167 players competed. Poker is one of the biggest games of the world, especially since it appeared on the internet and on television.

Holden finds the game different: the WSOP tables are full of young players, the casinos are filled with electronic poker tables, and beautiful women are always present on the WSOP hallways.

Bigger Deal gets in touch with all the important places and people of the WSOP, WPT and EPT. The book will be released soon before the 2007 WSOP.
