New Gambling Policy in Malta

The Minister of the Family and Social Solidarity in Malta made public the intention of developing a policy on gambling. This idea came to light after an alcohol policy and a drug policy were already proposed and accepted.

Dolores Cristina, the Chief of the Minister, mentioned that the policy on gambling would represent an important support for Agenzija Sedqa who continues to develop and extend its services related to gambling problems.

She also made some references about the changing face of the gambling scene and especially about the internet gambling. In her opinion, online gambling requires some prevention programs and support services.
