The capital Papeete is on a flat coastal plain on the northwest corner of Tahiti.It is on of the busiest harbor's in the South Pacific.
CLIMATE: Semitropical with two distinct seasons: a dry austral winter from May through October and a relatively wet summer season from November through April.Winter midday temperatures average 27'c (82?F) with nightly lows of 20?c (68?F); summer maximum daily temperatures average 30'c (85?F) with low nightly temperatures of 22'c (72'F).The water is relatively warm and and visitors can play in the ocean all year round.
