Bingo - not wasted on the young.

By Andrea Klein, May 22nd 2007
Bingo in Las Vegas is not what it used to be; it is no longer only played by seniors, now a lot of young people are playing it to. We can now say that the "gray haired old ladies" stereotype is no longer valid.

Young boys and girls come to play the game after a night of clubbing. Their dressing style separates them from the rest of the people, but they play the game with the same enjoyment the rest of the players do. Of course bingo is still played by senior couples or widowers, but the game is no longer played by people who have passed a certain age.

All ages ranging from 21 up to people in their 90's play bingo nowadays. Bingo is even more exciting now since the cashball has been introduced. The cashball is a special ball which is drawn at the beginning of each bingo session and if someone makes bingo with the cashball being last called, he/she will win the jackpot, which can go up to $15,000. There are also the coverall jackpots also known as Bonanza's, Even Bettor, Dual daub, Double action, which can range from a few thousand dollars to over $100,000.

The bingo tickets are not that expensive; a pack with 6 cards on each sheet costs $4, one with 16 cards per sheet costs $8 - $12, and loading a machine that does all the marking for you costs $100. You can play at the machine and still not have to load it though.

Bingo is a fun game which can bring you money if you are lucky enough.
