Competition for the Bingo Callers begins

One of the most important elements in bingo is the bingo caller - in every bingo club, there is a bingo caller who announces the numbers to the players. Being a bingo caller is not a difficult job, but you must entertain the players, by being funny and charismatic. Not everyone can do it.

In the U.K, there are annual bingo caller competitions to identify the most skilled bingo caller, at the club and at the national level. One of the most famous competitions of such type is the Competition NGBA Bingo Caller of the Year, which will start this month.

The final will be held in November 2007, after the regional rounds. Bingo callers from all over the U.K are encouraged to sign up to this competition, to win the Bingo Caller of the Year title. Brett Hyrjak from Bognor Regis won the 2006 competition, and since then he writes his own column at the UK Bingo site Playing Bingo, where he also offered various interviews.

In his monthly columns he gives tips about how to become a better bingo caller and what you should and shouldn’t do in a bingo caller competition. He also wrote about the beginning of his bingo caller profession. It's a really useful information for the people that are interested about bingo.
