Debates over Slots in Legislative Session

By Daniel Michaels, May 2nd 2007
The Indiana's 115th legislative session deadline is in April. Until then the lawmakers have to finish the legislations. There were made public some previews of the work that has to be done in the next few weeks. A main part of the debates will cover the subject of slot machine gaming at Indiana horse racing tracks.

The event will bring more than 1,500 slot machines in two locations, in Anderson and Indiana. But, the casino operators have to wait for approval. It is estimated that every establishment must pay a $400 million to obtain the license in order to use them legally.
