Gambling Classes In British High Schools
By Lyndon Evans, Sep 4th 2007British high schools come up with a great idea for approaching gambling addiction as the OCR exam board wants teenagers to learn about the psychology behind gambling addiction as part of a planned new A-level course.
Having approximately 33 million British adults gambling every week, the OCR board declared that the subject matter is very relevant for young people and wants to implement it from September 2008. The A-level draft was also sent for approval from the exams regulator.
Teachers are encouraged to edify the subject in a more relevant and accessible manner to students. The gambling module comes along with 14 other topics which form part of the draft A-level syllabus.
