Gambling machines seized
By Daniel Michaels, May 20th 2005PETALING JAYA: Police seized 1,075 video gambling machines worth more than RM3.2mil and arrested 80 people in raids conducted in the district.
Petaling Jaya deputy police chief Supt Zohdi Hanafiah police had conducted 156 raids at various locations since January.
This, he said, included operations conducted yesterday where police seized 70 machines and arrested three workers from three outlets.
He said those arrested were aged between 20 and 40, including workers and owners of the premises.
Police also seized a total of RM8,457.90 in coins from the machines
