George Mason favored by 12 WagerWeb.com Bettors

By Joni Hawk, Mar 29th 2006
George Mason favored by 12 potentially lucky WagerWeb.com Bettors. Two more tournament victories for George Mason means WagerWeb.com will pay 12 happy sports bettors a large sum of money for betting long shot odds since during the second best year NCAA Basketball Tournament players covered less than half of the team’s games.

George Mason was offered on WagerWeb.com as a field bet (all teams remaining that are not specifically listed under the odds) and is currently receiving more than 25 percent of the total bets to win it all. A tournament victory would make George Mason the lowest seeded team ever to win the championship.

The WagerWeb.com CEO says that because of Mason’s lack of depth and annoying injuries to its star player make for a difficult last two games, "Should they pull through, so will the twelve lucky customers who put their money on the unthinkable and by all odds practically unachievable."
