Is Norway Anti-Online Gambling or Not?

By Daniel Michaels, Nov 12th 2007
Norway Gambling Law

In the clearest signal to date that those state-owned gambling monopolies have zero relating to players protection and everything to do with defending a profitable source of earnings for governments. The anti-online gambling decision took in Norway advanced with its own gambling monopoly to establish a complex online marketing system.

Another UIGEA-style law is ready to be open for online bingo operators seeing them banned from another online gaming market.

Norwegian ministers have made no bones about their anti-online gambling response – however here we have the very institution that is supposed to guard that country’s poor naive online players gearing up with the resources to market its services for the utmost yields.

I have no doubt that there will be an online gambling industry in Norway but I wonder who will get the most profits from this. Free enterprise bingo online operations or the government itself? And is not this a decision to be made by those assuming to be the protectors of the anti-gambling movement in Norway. Things are not clear for me so far and neither for you should be.
