ITV was Accused for Withdrawing from the Contract

According to the icLiverpool: "The betting firm Sportech located in Liverpool did not agree with ITV when the latter decided to withdraw from a multi-million pound agreement in which it should have provided the television channel with interactive gambling services."

"Sportech recently declared that it was not postponing the inevitable, in other words, closing a non profitable contract that would have cost another £22m to be completed."

"An associate, from the contract was The Wavertree Technology Park group, that also owns Littlewoods Pools, which entered 19 months ago, to provide betting services to viewers. However, last year, this service lost £4m, after having invested £12m since the beginning."

"Finance director Gary Speakman blamed ITV of failing to sufficiently support its interactive services."

"Nonetheless the company continues to offer interactive betting services for the At The Races channel and Sky"
