New Casino Resort in Indiana counties

By Joni Hawk, Jun 13th 2007
According to a report from Bedford Times, morel mushrooms are not all that symbolizes the arrival of the springtime in Southern Indiana. Tourists are also attracted by the fact that days are longer and nights warmer.

This year's attention will no longer be pointed only to the typical festivals like boating, hiking, fishing, camping and the color changing of the leaves. The Indiana counties and mainly the ones along the Ind. 37, U.S. 150, Ind. 145 and Ind. 56 corridors will have now a great interest towards gambling.

That is because in last year’s October it was opened a new casino, the French Lick Resort. For the Bloomington/Monroe County Convention and the Visitors Bureau gambling the opening of the casino has been for a while in their close attention.

Mark Young, the State Park Manager from Spring Mill declared that park officials discussed with officials from the Lawrence County Tourism, but up until now no particular steps were made, but still, the Monroe County, Lawrence County tourism officials keep a close eye on the new opened casino.
