Sands, Inc. Scores E-Gaming License

Ltd., a subsidiary of Las Vegas Sands Inc., the parent company of The Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino in Las Vegas, has been awarded an Interactive Gaming License and an Electronic Betting Center License by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. The company will conduct its Internet gaming activities under the name Venetian Interactive in affiliation with its partner SSP Gaming, LLC. "We are very pleased to have been granted a license in Alderney," says David Friedman, assistant to the chairman of the board, Las Vegas Sands Inc. "We have a tremendous amount of respect for the regulators in Alderney. Friedman says plans with the company were not yet finalized. Alderney, the third largest of the British Channel Islands, has gained worldwide recognition for a highly regulated gambling industry, attracting reputable businesses that wish to operate within the well-regulated environment established by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. "An Internet gaming license in Alderney provides Venetian Interactive with some of the highest regulatory standards and controls in the industry, says Richard Depew, CEO of Venetian Interactive.
