Several Supporters of the Blakckpool Casino Dismiss Report

According to the UK Stage: "The supporters of the Blackpool bid who want it to host the UK's only allowed regional super-casino have rubbished remarks in a government-commissioned statement that said that the town had "no space" for a site on such a scale, insisting its odds have not been affected though."

"Counting Manchester, Glasgow and Coventry, the town is part of the most likely locations in which for this, which according to some estimations could bring in as much as £500 million and thousands of jobs to the local economy not to mention the boosting of the area's entertainment industry."

"A number of reports have been specially made ahead of The Casino Advisory Panel's imminent decision for the most suitable site for the super-casino and 16 other smaller ones. With all this, the most recent report, done and analyzed by economist Roger Tym and Partners for the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, has aggravated the already existing irritation in the country's light entertainment capital."

"The former managing director of Leisure Parcs and gaming consultant Mark Etches labeled the report as a 'load of rubbish', and declared that its ending was contradicted to the evidence."
