Survey on Online Casino Fans
By Joni Hawk, Dec 12th 2006A very recent survey that was conducted by Prime Table Games in the United Kingdom has found that online casino fans are more than happy for the newly formed Gambling Commission to play a stronger role in the industry. However they are searching for more information on affiliates that are in the service of online casinos.
Also, the players at online casino sites said that there is a need for more information on gambling sites. Also, more than 70 percent of online casino players are feeling that gambling sites should clearly say whether or not their site is runned by a third party provider. A small 30 percent of respondents believe that online casino firms should not outsource their gaming operations.
More that 80 percent of online casino players said that they were concerned about commission payments towards online casino affiliates, saying that gaming sites should publish the fact that affiliates are receiving money for their services on their site.
Around 44 percent of respondents also said that they do not really want to gamble at a site where affiliates are making profit. 80 percent of online casino fans think that licensing needs to be backed up by a stronger legislation. Around 67 percent of gamblers also said that they would prefer to play at a site that is approved by the Gambling Commission to operate in the UK rather than offshore gaming sites.
Derek Webb from Prime Table Games declared that the online casino survey shows that UK gamblers know what they want from an online casino site, and how this site should operate.
He also stressed the important role the Gambling Commission must play in the online casino industry in order to make sure fans receive the support and security they deserve.
