The 86th California Open Brought by Black Oak Casino

One of the oldest events, the 86th Northern California Open will be held September 25 - 27 at Saddle Creek Resort, Copperopolis, California and is brought to the public by Black Oak Casino.

This prestigious three-day event will offer a $65,000 prize making it the biggest prize in the history of the event and represents more that an 80% increase over last year. Sponsors like Black Oak Casino and Nike Golf are making this award a reality, says Nancy Maul, NCPGA Tournament Director.

The Northern California Open Championship began in 1920 and has been under the direction and sponsorship of the NCPGA since 1962. It includes a Senior Open Championship that will take place at Diablo Grande Resort (Patterson, CA) with the NCO Pro-Am and Northern California Open Championship to be conducted at the nationally-ranked Saddle Creek Resort in Copperopolis, CA.

Precedent tournament champions include legendary golf pros as George Archer and Roger Maltbie and household names like Peter Jacobsen and David Sutherland.
