The Current Environment Leads to Similar Odds at Online Casinos
By George Oates, Nov 9th 2006It is sad but true that in the middle east while one war ends, another is about to begin. And because there are many accusations from both sides in the Israel-Arab conflict of cease-fire violations, it is clear that the pattern of war is once again about to rise itself in that troubled region.
With all this in mind are there any odds that a credible peace treaty process to begin? Of course that they are, but the reality is that we do not really hear about them. So could it be the fact that the online casino odds have a powerful influence on public opinion between the one that gamble and those who gamble online? This is of course highly possible, but there is a problem, and this is mainly the fact that gamblers are by nature optimistic people.
There are bets on the chances of a war breaking out and this is not due to the fact that they are pessimistic, but realistic and they know that if they place a wager on odds favoring the outbreak of a future war in the Middle East, they'll likely win. And the same goes for wagering for peace when recent history and past has shown that such bets would lead to loosing a wager.
So the question is: is there any hope for peace if online casinos do not predict it? It is normal that the answer would be yes, but not in the near future. As long as the war is a fact of life in the Mideast, along with extremism and insecurity, the safe bet will always be on violence, not the avoidance of violence.
Such a method of thing cannot be considered pessimism, but an opportunity. It is a sad thing however that there are numerous persons out there that have a lot to gain should wars break out, and not necessarily wars in the Middle East either. The online casino sites may be a mixed blessing, but for gamblers conflict can be a blessed cash cow.
