Vegas Style Casino to be Opened in Spain

The regional government of Aragon officially agreed on the plans for 32 hotel casinos, two theme parks, a racecourse and a stadium. The venture is expected to open over the next decade in a desert region of eastern Spain, Los Monegros.
On approximately 2,000 hectares of desert, developers also plan to build residential areas, an equestrian center and a golf course.
The London-based consortium of investors International Leisure Development is the one who provides the money for the development. The venture was names 'Gran Escala,' which means large-scale and has a price tag of 17-billion-euro ($28.47 billion)
The Los Monegros desert is situated half-way between Madrid and Barcelona, the two biggest cities in Spain. This location was chosen because it offers good transportation links, favorable tax laws and relatively low land prices.
