Vodafone UK in the Mobile Gaming World
By Joni Hawk, May 10th 2006The leading gaming portal, and owner of both Gambling.com and Gambling.co.uk, Gaming Corporation Plc recently stated that it has signed a contract with Vodafone UK, in order to launch a fully interactive mobile casino service on Vodafone live. And the service is due to be launched within the next month.
The service due to be launched, will originally comprise 11 state of the art java games including Blackjack, Roulette, Stud Poker, slots and scratch cards, and will be available for both practice and real cash play. The registration process and the deposits can be made via the mobile handset.
There will also be an age verification process which will prevent infants from accessing the game. The initial deposits, will be initially restricted, and also daily limits on user deposits and advice on cash gaming will be accessible in order to encourage responsible usage.
The provision of content to the WAP site and to many other games, is covered by the contract. Regarding the launch of the new service, Justin Drummond, Chief Executive of Gaming Corporation plc, added: "With this contract, we have a very good deal, confirming that Gaming Corp has the market leading position in the mobile gaming sector. Which is a good thing, because the potential worldwide market for mobile gambling is said to grow to more than US$19.3 Billion in 2009, and account for nearly one-third of all mobile entertainment revenues ".
"Without any doubt this is a great advantage for Gaming Corporation, which will bring further scale to our mobile gaming operation. With contracts secured with both Orange and Vodafone, we can offer more reliable services in both UK and Europe."
