Big Win Just in Time For Father's Day
"We were expecting our family to come for a Father's Day visit. So I guess I was feeling a little lucky!"
What was your initial reaction to your big win?
"When I saw the screen flashing with the win, I ran upstairs and shouted the news to my wife who was in the shower at the time. I think that she thought I was kidding around until she saw the look on my face. She wrapped a towel around herself and came dripping downstairs to see the winning hand for herself."
How do you plan on spending your winnings?
"We have one granddaughter and another one on the way. I plan on sharing the money with my daughters and their families. I will of course continue to play at Jackpot City!"
How long had you been playing on the day of your win?
"On that day, I had only been playing for a few minutes. I had watched the progressive jackpot grow for the past few days and had tried to hit it every once in a while. When it got over $90,000 it was very exciting to play!"
What do you do for good luck?
"I think about my family and realize how truly lucky I am."
What advice do you have for others?
"I always try to be generous and share my winnings and I never begrudge anyone else their good luck."
Describe in detail your dream holiday destination.
"Since my daughters, my wife and I were all married at around the end of September and the beginning of October, I plan to treat everyone to a vacation in Las Vegas where we can celebrate our anniversaries together. My wife and I have been married 38 years so we have a lot to celebrate. My wife and I recently enjoyed a 3 week stay in Hawaii, which was quite a wonderful vacation."
What do you like to do in your spare time?
"I have a 1962 Corvette that I enjoy working on and putting in car shows."
What 3 things would you take with you on a deserted island?
"My wife and my two daughters."
What is your goal in life?
"To watch my grandchildren grow up."
Is there anything else you would like to tell us about yourself?
"I am 60 years old and am a retired newspaper pressman. My wife and I have been married for 38 years. We enjoy trips to Vegas, Laughlin and Tahoe. I had a double knee replacement a couple of years ago and my wife started an online account for me to cheer me up when I was recuperating. I have enjoyed gambling online ever since and I have hit several Royal Flushes but nothing of this size! One of the things that I plan to do is get a new digital camcorder so that I can capture special moments in our family."
